Qin1200 is a Carrier-Class Softswitch system solution provided by SipTang Technologies, based on NGN model and developed on standard and commercial high-performance VoIP protocol stack. Qin1200 Softswitch system runs on Linux to provide a stable and robust core switching system. It supports SIP, H.323, and NAT traversal, several of authentication methods, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and variety of value-added services.

The Softswitch system uses standard RADIUS protocol, and has implements flexible billing functions. To provide carrier-class services for Operators, ITSPs, and Enterprise users, Qin1200 Softswitch supports load balance, redundancy and overload protection. Running on distribution and modular architecture, the core switching system is perfect protected. Qin1200 Softswitch provides uniform number management, centralized system monitoring and management, unified messaging for end users, and consistent dialing policy for the system.

Qin1200 system made up of CS, AS, MS, RDBMS, WMS, NMS, IVR and BS, CS, AS, MS, RDBMS is able to be distributed and load balance.

Qin1200 system architecture

For access and call control function, there are Access Server (AS), Media Switch (MS), and Call Server (CS) modules. Access Server module is responsible for system accessing for calls signaling. Media Switch module is for RTP switching. On Control layer, up to 5 Call Server modules act as call controller.

For handling application and value-added functions, there are Network Management Server, Oracle Database, Billing Server, Integrated IVR, Web Server and Application Server modules.

In Application Server module, there are abundant value-added applications available, such as IP Centrex, Voice Mail, IPPBX, Conferencing, Webphone, and etc.
